The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 has included ‘all round development of the child’ as one of the aims of education because

1. every child grows rapidly between six to fourteen years
2. proper health care is essential
3. it nurtures the physical, mental and emotional aspects of the child
4. it ensures that every child is a part of a workforce
