Three pipes, A, B and C, can fill a swimming pool in 40 hours, when operated simultaneously. After 12 hours of working, pipe A is closed and the remaining part of the pool is filled by B and C in 49 hours. How many hours would have been taken by pipe A alone to fill the empty pool completely?
